Over the years I’ve gotten this question probably more than any other and basically have ignored giving a response. But just cause you keep asking I’ll gave you a small snippet. For more you’ll have to read my biography coming out later this year. It will be the final book of three books I will have written.
I grew up basically without my parents. They were divorced when I was eight and I lived with my grandparents most of the time till I was a mid-teenager. I cared little for education, was rebellious and always in some minor trouble with the local cop.
I was very shy except around friends. Got married way to young but have two beautiful successful children in spite of the bedlam my wife and I created during the divorce.
I worked for both IBM and Xerox for a number of years and at the age of forty struck out on my own. I proceeded to make two fortunes and then lose both of them. But with the third fortune I now had enough common sense to hold on to it.
After six different colleges over nine years I received a Bachelor’s Degree. So, you can readily accept I’m not the brightest “bulb” in the string. But the one trait I’ve always possessed above all else was persistence and the will, no determination, to not let any obstacle stand in my way of success.
I believe that’s enough of me for the moment but let me leave this quote with you from my first book “Keep Left” The Open Air Asylum Called St. John.
When you’re traveling on a small plane with the pilot’s door flapping open in the wind, there comes a moment when he shouts back to you “This is the point of no return, we can safely fly back and land or we can take our chances in reaching the destination.”
Throughout life, I always respond the same “GO FOR IT- CHARGE!”
SHAMELESS MARKETING
St. John is fully open for business and I as well as other owners are seeing a substantial increase in reservations particularly for July and August. So, if you’ve got the itch better scratch it while weeks are still available.
